Work of Heart offers a range of creative art programs for children of all ages — from in-studio classes to school-based residencies and homeschool co-ops. Whether your child is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or deepening an existing love of art, there's a place for them here.

Pre-K, Toddler, Workshops & Open Studio
Work of Heart's in-studio programs are designed for our youngest artists and creative explorers. Classes are hands-on, imaginative, and rooted in process-based art — prioritizing curiosity over perfection.
What's offered:
Toddler & Pre-K Classes – Age-appropriate creative sessions for little ones, encouraging sensory exploration, self-expression, and fine motor development
Creative Workshops – Themed art workshops open to a variety of ages; perfect for drop-in or short-term creative experiences
Open Studio – Unstructured studio time for independent creative exploration; ideal for young artists who want to make at their own pace

On-Site School Programs
Work of Heart partners directly with local schools to bring quality visual arts instruction into the after-school hours — right on campus. Unlike a one-time event, these are ongoing weekly residencies that run across the school year, giving students consistent, cumulative art experiences.
Each residency runs approximately 5–6 weeks per session, with roughly 5 sessions per school year, held once a week after school.
Work of Heart currently holds active residencies at:
St. John of the Cross (3 years running)
St. Daniel the Prophet (2 years running)
We are actively seeking new school partners for the upcoming school year. If you're a school administrator or parent interested in bringing Work of Heart to your campus, [contact us here].

Work of Heart Studios is collaborating with Anchor Homeschool Co-op, located south of Chicago near the Lemont/Homer Glen Area. I will be teaching Early Elementary Art on Tuesdays from 9:30–12:15 for classes. The Fall session runs September 1 – November 10. (No class on October 13). Anchor is a Christian homeschool co-op where families do life together, and children thrive in structured, teacher-led classrooms one day each week.
Families gather on Tuesdays for a full morning of classes, community, and shared meals. Kids learn in teacher-led classrooms while parents connect, volunteer, and support one another. Click here for more information or to join the Anchor Homeschool Co-op.

Recommended for Ages 5–11
We now offer a 90-minute creators club during the day for K-5th grade HOMESCHOOL families. Each session runs once a week for 6 weeks. Participants will complete 1-3 projects. At the conclusion of the final session, we will host a mini art show celebrating the creations of each little artist. ****Attendance for all sessions is important because most projects are ongoing works in progress. If a class is missed, we try to accommodate catching up as best as we can!
